After several long talks with my mom's federation, we have agreed upon & decided as a family that as of this autumn, 2018, both our costume design branch (HEI HERE) & our all boys dance troupe (TAMA TOA NUI) will remain dormant.
Until further notice, we will no longer be taking Hei Here group & solo costume orders until the beginning of competition season in 2019 (around late February/early March). **I will still be available for costume workshops but travel will be limited since I will be giving birth.
Our all boys troupe Tama Toa Nui will stay inactive for the next few years to follow until we choose to enter a competition in which all the American groups we currently help are not deciding to enter. In addition, we have decided that Tama Toa Nui will not be entering the Heiva i Tahiti for 2019 as it will take a few years to prepare for such a challenge.
From July 2018 onwards, the existence of our tā’atira’a (association) & our work we will be focusing solely on the composition + translation of our texts in Reo Mā’ohi: themes (tumu parau), speeches (‘ōrero) & songs (himene) until further notice. Thank you to everyone who has believed in us, supported us & trusted our combined knowledge from the time we became a couple to today. Māuruuru & aroha nui.
