HA'AMAURUURURA'A I TE MAU MAMA O TO FENUA 'AI'A MA TE HO'O I TA RATOU MAU TAUIHA'A
These are just a few of the many mamas I am proud to learn from, work with & support when I go home to Tahiti.
I send all my contacts from the U.S. to visit these mamas: I recommend them first and foremost to everyone & anyone who wants to purchase raw natural materials for their Tahitian dance costumes. For me, I know these mamas can accomplish perpetuating our culture by guiding the young people to put their material to use for dance competitions. They also are then able to support their own families with the income collected by these sales.
When you support Tanera'i i Ni'a, please know you are now the one who is giving back!
You are giving back to the farms in Rurutu & Rimatara who grow the Pae'ore...
You are giving back to the mamas who import these materials to Tahiti to make traditional items with.
You are giving back to my Tuha'a Pae community with support... & most of all,
YOU are helping me to guard our traditional crafts (RIMA'Ī) so it may continue to live on & have its rightful place within the 'ori Tahiti / Tahitian dance world both back home & overseas.
